When wiring a pixel prop, pixels are normally arranged sequentially - one pixel to the next:
However, in some situations you may want to use a method known as "alternate node wiring". For example, imagine filling a pixel strip starting at one end and filling every other hole. When you get to the end of the strip, you reverse course and fill in the remaining holes. For a strip with 10 pixels, it would look like this:
The same pattern occurs when you take a pixel string and fold it in half such that the pixels are interleaved.
Folding a string on itself
Alternate node wiring is supported on the following shapes: Tree 90, Tree 180, Tree 270, Tree 360 Wedges, Matrix-Horizontal-Quad, Matrix-Horizontal-Rectangle, Matrix-Vertical-Quad, Matrix-Vertical-Rectangle, Cylinder, Sphere, Fan, and Spokes. To enable it, set the "Alternate Nodes" value to "1".
