Remote Support

We can take control if needed.

Light-O-Rama has the ability to remotely control your computer to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.

A remote session is offered only after all other avenues of assistance have been exercised. We do not offer remote sessions for training purposes. You must be invited to a remote session by Light-O-Rama staff. We only accept sessions that have been prearranged and we do not monitor the list of people in the queue. Anyone joining the remote help queue without an invitation is ignored.

You must have a high-speed connection to the Internet, such as a cable or fiber optic modem, that can be accessed from the computer in question.  We can attempt a remote session if you are using DSL, however due to the relative slow speed of DSL versus other high-speed connections this may not be possible.  Remote sessions over dial-up or cellular modem (‘tethering’) are not available.

Special note

By requesting and accepting a remote session from a Light-O-Rama Help Desk representative to remotely assist you with a technical related issue, you accept responsibility for any changes made to the computer’s content or system settings.  Light-O-Rama does not assume and is not responsible for any liability for the linking and viewing of any of your computer’s content, the operation of the Light-O-Rama Remote Access software, or system performance.

Light-O-Rama recommends for your security and privacy that you exit any applications you have open that are displaying content such as personal or confidential information BEFORE initiating a remote support session with a Light-O-Rama representative.  Light-O-Rama further recommends that you remain seated at your desktop throughout the entire remote session.

Your data is important to us.  It is up to you to ensure that you backup your data on a regular basis.  Light-O-Rama will not be held responsible for any data loss if any occurred during or after a remote session.

Light-O-Rama strives to take the utmost care when in use of your computer.  However, Light-O-Rama cannot guarantee that use of our service will resolve your problem or that attempt to rectify your technical issue will not cause additional problems requiring additional cost.
