Video posting at public sites (YouTube or Vimeo) and reference Light-O-Rama and LOR in the keywords and/or in the video clip.
Counting your channels
How do you count the channels in your display?
- Typical light controllers are 8-16 channels each so count all the channels you are using
- If you use our Cosmic Color Ribbon/Bulb/Pixel lights or other types of smart pixels, count each ribbon/string as 12 channels and add to the above, if needed
- If you use DMX, count each DMX channel in use and add to the above, if needed
- If you are using DIO boards to control lights, count each channel and add to the above
- DIO or ServoDog channels controlling anything but lights do not need to be counted
Now you have your channel count. Enter the appropriate category.
Media formats accepted for the Halloween Contest
Light-O-Rama is really good at building controllers but juggling all the different video formats has never been our thing. Upload your contest entry video to Vimeo.com or YouTube.com, send us the link and we’ll watch from here.
We do not accept videos submitted by mail, email, hand delivered or any physical form.
Special note if you upload your video to YouTube.com: YouTube has been known to strip of the audio of popular tunes that might be part of your video. After you have uploaded your video to YouTube and it’s been processed and posted, wait about 30 minutes and check again. Typically, if there are audio problems, you’ll receive an email from YouTube.
Strong Suggestion: Check your video link to make sure it’s active and plays back as you desire before submitting your entry to this contest. Please make sure your video stays posted through December 31, 2015.
